Paperback Readers Episode 72

We are delighted to welcome Luma Mufleh to the podcast! Luma has written From Here, a beautiful young adult memoir about how she learned to accept herself as a gay Arab Muslim from Jordan, and how she made a new life for herself in the United States while never letting go of her first home. We loved this book, and we were so happy to get to talk to Luma about her story and her life. (And as a bonus, Julie’s sister Kristi, who introduced us to Luma, also made her podcast debut!)

Books we talked about are listed below. We’ll see you again in two weeks, when we discuss Stars in Alabama by Sean Dietrich.

From Here by Luma Mufleh

I Will Find You by Harlan Coben

Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Make Something Wonderful: Steve Jobs in His Own Words by Steve Jobs

A Fine Team Man: Jackie Robinson and the Lives He Touched by Joe Cox

Stars in Alabama by Sean Dietrich
